I think it would be great if you could swap out the bongo components such as the smtp agent, and use other software to do that job.

That way, rather then constantly reinventing the wheel, the bongo team could focus on the user interface aspects

Hi Khaine,

Getting out a stable 1.0 version is the first priority I think. After that splitting the gui from the backend is a thing the project is thinking about.
